- Front Side Windows (28% VLT): Mississippi law requires front driver and passenger side windows to allow at least 28% light transmittance. Installing 20% on the front is darker than state law allows.
- Where does “20%” come from? Under the same Mississippi statute (§ 63-7-59), luminous reflectance (how shiny or mirror-like the film is) cannot exceed 20% reflectance.
- Rear Windows: Any darkness level (including 20%, 15%, or 5% limo) is permitted on back side windows and rear glass for SUVs, trucks, and multi-purpose vehicles.
